BFF HELD ITS ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM WITH AFFILIATES IN MONTREAL

On November 19, 2010, BFF held its annual symposium with Affiliates in Montreal (Canada) on the development of joint educational projects and initiatives for business families and those who advise them.
President Pascale Michaud presented the objectives of this 2-day meeting: to reinforce exchanges among the affiliated Centres for Family Enterprise that are part of the BFF network and to foster stronger partnerships among them, for the benefits of business families worldwide.
Co-Chairs of the BFF Board Philippe and Nan-b de Gaspé Beaubien reminded everyone that some 20 years ago, the study of families in business was totally unheard of in Canada: “no universities, no research, no place for business families to go for answers, no training, no educational material...”
Considering how they started from scratch as a philanthropic activity, they are very proud of the work accomplished to date and insist on thanking all the participants to the symposium whose work has contributed to the major progress that has been made for the field of family business in Canada.
